The original printing was published by Penguin Putnam Books in 2000, and has been translated into multiple languages, including Portuguese, Spanish, German, and Chinese. Although David was gratified by the reception, he wanted to include many fascinating images, but the publisher couldn't include them.

This new edition includes all the pictures that were left out of the first printing, as well as updated and new edits. All the images and written narration synergistically present a rich, multidimensional story of ancient wisdom that is desperately needed for our modern, high-tech, stress-filled lives.

The Story

In March of 1987, after completing his training as an acupuncturist and herbalist in San Francisco, David Crow journeyed to Nepal in search of teachings from Tibetan and Ayurvedic doctors.
