Triphala Guggulu

There are many herbal formulas that are used for cleansing the body. Some are mild, but some can be very harsh and may cause negative side effects when overused. With that in mind, I would like to introduce this traditional Ayurvedic formula which I have recommended to many people; it can be used safely within the context of a food-based detoxification program, and following the advice of a healthcare professional.

Triphala Guggulu is a famous classical Ayurvedic formula based on the combination of guggulu, a species of myrrh resin, and triphala, the "three fruits", for detoxification and rejuvenation. It detoxifies the tissues and organs, supports digestive power fire, and gently cleanses the gastrointestinal tract. It boosts gut immunity, and decongests the respiratory system. It has systemic anti-inflammatory effects, and is also beneficial for the skin.
